about the project
I chose tennis as the central theme to explore different animation techniques in personal projects. Coincidentally, I also developed a scene with this theme for Inpart Saúde, reinforcing the focus of the visual research.
roland garros
To represent the French Grand Slam, I created a 3D animation of the official Roland Garros balls on a clay court. The main challenge was developing the clay texture, balancing realism and performance — the first version reached 11 minutes per frame. The scene also included rackets inspired by the models used by Beatriz Haddad Maia and João Fonseca, signaling the project’s continuity with these tennis players.

wimbledon
The following animation focused on João Fonseca and the Wimbledon tournament. I used animated collage techniques, working with high-resolution photos from multiple angles to preserve the athlete’s visual identity. Wimbledon’s classic aesthetic was conveyed through vibrant grass, purple and white tones, and sunny lighting. To add realism to the movement, I based the animation on real video footage, adapting it to the collage style.
